Adopting Federated Learning without overhauling your IT systems

Local node, connectors, pilot phase, human validation: what rolling out federated scoring in a bank or an MFI actually looks like.

Credit scoring software, like any new technology, is only worth it if it fits your tools and processes. The good news: adopting federated scoring does not require replacing your core system, or turning your teams into AI specialists.

A local node, inside your environment

Training happens on your side. In practice, a SCORE360 component is installed in an isolated environment dedicated to your institution. It reads the data it needs, trains the model locally and exchanges only encrypted parameters with the ENGINE.

Credit scoring software: connectors, not an overhaul

Scoring relies on the tools you already use: core banking, loan management software, SMEs’ ERP or accounting tools. CONNECT connectors for your core banking system and the documented REST API retrieve the useful data and return the score where your analysts work.

Plugging in PI-SPI flows

Instant payment flows are the richest raw material for assessing an SME. There are two paths: the FLOW module, which lets SMEs collect payments via PI-SPI interoperable QR code and structures their flows automatically, and the flow ingestion API, which receives data already available in your systems. Either way, data is gathered with the SME’s consent and stays inside your environment.

A pilot phase to measure before scaling

The right approach starts small. SCORE360 plans a six- to nine-month pilot phase with one bank and two microfinance institutions, targeting a November 2026 launch. The goal: measure results on real files before any roll-out.

Your teams stay in control

  • The score informs, it does not decide: lending decisions rest solely with your institution.
  • Explainable results: each score comes with its main factors, so your analysts can justify their recommendation.
  • Full traceability: every operation is logged and auditable, and remains subject to human validation.

Questions to ask before you start

  • What data is available, and in which systems? Do your SME clients already collect payments through PI-SPI?
  • Which SME segment do you want to finance better first?
  • Who in your risk and IT teams will lead the project?
  • Which indicators will you track to assess the pilot?

In short

Federated Learning fits into your existing environment, respects your governance and rolls out step by step. The first step is simple: request a demo tailored to your institution.

FAQ

Do we need to replace our core banking system to adopt federated scoring?

No. Scoring relies on the tools already in place: core banking, loan management software, SMEs’ ERP or accounting tools. CONNECT connectors and a documented REST API retrieve the useful data and return the score where your analysts already work. No overhaul of your information system is needed.

Where is the scoring model trained?

On your side. A SCORE360 component is installed in an isolated environment dedicated to your institution. It reads the data it needs, trains the model locally and exchanges only encrypted parameters with the ENGINE. No raw data leaves your environment.

How long does the SCORE360 pilot phase last?

SCORE360 plans a six- to nine-month pilot phase with one bank and two microfinance institutions, targeting a November 2026 launch. The goal is to measure results on real files, fine-tune thresholds and train teams before any wider roll-out. A limited scope proves value without risk to the business.

How can SMEs’ PI-SPI flows be fed into scoring?

There are two paths: the FLOW module, which lets SMEs collect payments via PI-SPI interoperable QR code and structures their flows automatically, or the flow ingestion API, which receives data already available in your systems. Either way, data is gathered with the SME’s consent.
